The VL series lever hoist, built to EN 13157, combines lifting, pulling, and load tightening in one compact, lightweight yet durable unit. Widely used for equipment installation, cargo handling, and load dragging in factories, mines, construction sites, power plants, and shipyards, it excels in narrow, open-air, and overhead workspaces where loads must be pulled or stretched at any angle.
Safety and strength come standard: a double-pawl brake with Weston-style automatic load brake for secure self-locking, heat-treated steel plates, gears, and shafts, forged hooks with safety latches, and a high-tensile alloy steel chain. A 360° rotating handle and separating block design ease operation in confined spaces, and the bottom hook is freely adjustable when unloaded (N position). With a 4:1 safety factor and fatigue tested at 1.5× working load limit over 2000 cycles, it is built for demanding daily use.
Compact and lightweight construction with heat-treated steel plates, gears and shafts for enhanced strength and long-lasting durability.
Weston-style automatic load brake with a double-pawl brake system provides reliable load holding and enhanced operational safety.
The 360° rotating handle makes operation easier in narrow and confined spaces, while the special separating block allows quick chain adjustment when unloaded.
Forged upper and lower hooks with safety latches and high-tensile alloy steel load chain. The hoist features a 4:1 safety factor and is fatigue tested at 1.5× WLL for 2,000 cycles.
NNot every lifting job needs electric power or a fixed working position. Where a load must be lifted, pulled, or tensioned outdoors, at height, or in a confined space, a lever hoist gets the job done at lower cost and with less to maintain than a powered unit — no wiring, no power source, no motor to service. The VL series is built for exactly that: dependable, power-free lifting, pulling, and tightening at any angle.
Which lever hoist fits your job? If your site is power-free or demands all-angle operation, the standard VL lever hoist covers lifting, pulling, and tensioning in one unit. If your workplace is flammable or corrosive, the explosion-proof or stainless-steel version adds the protection you need. If you only need simple fixed-point vertical lifting, a manual chain block is the simpler, more economical choice.Compare: VLCompare: DL

If the load needs vertical lifting, horizontal pulling, or rope tensioning on site, the VL lever hoist covers all three with one portable, power-free unit.
Choose from the 0.5–9 t range based on your heaviest rated load, with a built-in 4:1 safety factor.
Confirm the chain length covers your required lift height or pulling distance before ordering.

What's the difference between a hand lever hoist and a manual chain block?
The lever hoist is operated by a ratchet lever and works at any angle for lifting, pulling, and tensioning; the chain block is pull-chain operated and mainly for vertical lifting at a fixed point.
What capacities does the hand lever hoist come in?
The VL series covers 0.5 t to 9 t, all with a standard 1.5–3 m chain length; longer chains are available on request.
Can one unit lift, pull, and tension?
Yes — a single lever hoist handles vertical lifting, horizontal pulling, and rope/chain tensioning, with no power required.
What does it need to operate?
Nothing but manpower — no electricity and no air supply, making it ideal for outdoor, high-altitude, and confined workspaces.
